Some areas just require a tinge of pink. After leaving Colorado’s Great Sand Dunes I was driving and saw this lone gas pump with the grasslands and blue sky surrounding it. It felt modern, and western, and lonely, and forgotten all at the same time. And so I thought I had better make a portrait of this space and time before it gets muddied up with EV charging bays in the background.
