Saint Malo Ocean Pool, Bretagne, France

A seawater pool is something to see and experience. The seawall separating the pool from the ocean is covered in slick seaweed and there are gates, though not foreboding enough, noting not to walk along the edge (there is even a little wave knocking a crosswalk figure into the water on the said sign). When we got down there, a boy (guessing in his young teens) was walking along the edge towards the concrete diving board on the far side. So I waited. He never did jump in, but I loved this lonely silhouette of him looking over the edge.
