Morning Rider (LIMITED EDITION)

First thing in the morning there is a beautiful calm on Mackinac Island. Something I didn’t hear or read about in the months and weeks leading up to my time there. The ferry boats for the day have not yet arrived so the streets are empty save for a few of the delivery folks on the island and the bike bell hops for the hotels delivering luggage to the dock in lead of people leaving the island.

They wave at each other, in what is my guess their favorite time of the day as well as they can actually do what they need to do in a timely manner.

I sat on the balcony of my hotel room and photographed the bits of movement for about an hour: walkers, delivery carts pulled by horses (so many Amazon boxes), a couple of runners, and then this lone bike rider came through. They were moving fast and I’m guessing it was an employee at one of the many BnBs just a few minutes late for the morning start.

This is a LIMITED EDITION run of 10 of this print. All prints will be made to 32x40. After these sell there will never be another run.
