Iceland Volcanoes

Iceland is a place that is truly hard to capture. To capture its beauty, its size, its uniqueness, and its colors. Most times I got out of the car slackjawed and waited for others to do things. But I love the mountains and how often do you see an exploding mountain (aka volcano - though this one did not explode while we were there), so I took out my infrared light filter and sat on a hillside to make this photo. It reminds me of Dr. Seuss’ Oh The Places You’ll Go, but in real life and no truffula trees.
