United We Fall

$580.00

The driftwood trees of Edisto Island are no different than the people we see on the streets, they are just reflections of us. So what do we see in them that resonates with us? I see a bleached white tree connecting with a black-barked tree whose roots have been bleached and not just intersecting at some random point but having grown together, albeit in different directions. But that description could go well beyond the literal. What are our roots? Where do they start? How have we grown? What have we lost? How have we healed?

Part of the Driftwood series.
