Do you offer engagement sessions?

We can add any sort of session you'd like to your collection: engagement, anniversary, family portraits, etc.

Once we have an opportunity to talk and I can get a sense for who you are as a couple and how we can best encapsulate that in something for you to see everyday, I can suggest a package that fits you best.

Or we can start with the basics and as we get closer to your wedding date if you want to add hours, albums, photo sessions etc, we can do that at just about anytime.

Do we have to do an engagement session?

The short answer is no. However, I absolutely recommend them. Click below to read and some the reasons as to why.

Also, take it from someone who did not get engagement photos before they got married (yep, me) and really wishes they had done it.

I just want to book you. Can I just do that without talking to you first?

I get it. Time is important. It's important to me too.

But your wedding vendors are not a dime a dozen. There are ones who are better suited for you and your needs.

I know that we are all busy, just give me 15 minutes on the phone or a video call to get to know you and to see if we are the right fit for one another.

And when you are still jazzed about hiring me, then we can book right away!

Ok, we have 15 minutes to spare. Once we have talked, how does the booking process work?

When we hang up the phone after our first call and you have told me you want to book me, I will send you a personalized quote and contract.

Once you sign the contract and pay the $2000 retainer fee, your date is locked and we're all set! Your final payment isn’t due until a month out from your wedding.

And if you need help finding any other vendors, I am happy to provide you with a referral list of pros I have worked with and trust.

We aren't getting married in North Carolina, what are your travel fees?

If it is more than a two hour drive from Raleigh, NC, I ask that you cover the cost of one night in a hotel for me (and my second if part of the package).

If it is more than a five hour drive from Raleigh, I ask that you pay for my flight plus two nights in a hotel for weddings in the US or 4 nights for international weddings.

So that means if you are getting married anywhere from Washington DC to Savannah to Knoxville, then the cost for me to travel is only the hotel you book for me.

Just keep in mind this handy fun fact: the better night sleep I get before your wedding the better I photograph on your wedding day - so better than a hostel but maybe not as nice as the place that puts a mint on your pillow.

Can we have a second photographer on our wedding day?

The short answer is yes.

I have a few second photographers I work with, and they are all professionals with their own full-time businesses that I would trust to photograph my wedding.

So if you would like one, we can make that happen for you.

That being said, I would be happy to talk to you more about the advantages of a second photographer to help you decide if adding that on makes the most sense for your wedding day.

My mom and dad would really like to talk to you before we book, is that going to be a problem?

I am happy to speak with anyone who may have some questions for me - moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandparents…whoever. No cousins though…because cousins can be crazy (I’m kidding…sort of).

We had such an awesome wedding day and are so excited to see the photographs, when will they be done?

Typical turn time is 3-4 weeks.

At that point, I will give you guys a call to see when your schedule is free and we can either get together in person or we can set up a video call.

Getting to share your gallery with you and your album design is my favorite part of the whole experience!

It's been a year since our wedding, do you offer anniversary sessions or family sessions?

I would love to capture your life as it continues to grow and change in so many beautiful ways whether that be celebrating another year and you are feeling the urge to adventure, welcoming a new family member (yes, furry kids count too) to your home, celebrating a milestone or whatever moves you.

Click below to see some examples.

As your marriage continues it’s always good to renew that connection in some meaningful way. We get busy and can become like to ships passing in the night, it doesn’t have to always be that way. So I would love to talk to you about creating an experience that would bring you closer together and make some rad photos in the process.
