Do you offer engagement or forever sessions?
We can add any sort of session you'd like to your collection: engagement, anniversary, family portraits, etc. Once we have an opportunity to talk and I can get a sense for who you are as a couple and what you love about one another and how we can best encapsulate that in something for you to see everyday, I can suggest a package that fits you best.
I just want to book you, can I just do that without talking to you first?
Your wedding vendors are not a dime a dozen. There are ones who are better suited for you, your family and your needs. I know that we are all busy, just give me 20 minutes on the phone to get to know you and to see if we are the right fit for one another. And if we are a match, then we can book right away.
Ok, we have 20 minutes to spare. Once we have talked, how does the booking process work?
Once we have figured out what custom package will work best for you, I will send you a personalized quote and contract. Once you sign the contract and pay the $2000 retainer fee, your date is locked and we're all set! And if you need help finding any other vendors, I am happy to provide you with a referral list of pros I have worked with and trust.
We aren't getting married in North Carolina, what are your travel fees?
If it is more than a five hour drive from Raleigh, I ask that you pay $250 towards my flight for domestic and $500 for international. So that means if you are getting married anywhere from Washington DC to Savannah to Knoxville, then the cost for me to travel is only the hotel you book for me. I do ask that you book and pay a two night hotel stay at a hotel of your choosing for me for any domestic wedding when my drive is between 3-5 hours, because I want to be on time for your wedding and because I want to be safe driving home and not exhausted. For international weddings I ask you to pay for 3-4 nights at a hotel, because the last thing that I want is to be flying in just in time for your wedding day only to miss it due to traffic or flight delays. Just keep in mind this handy fun fact: the better night sleep I get before your wedding the better I photograph on your wedding day - so better than a hostel but maybe not as nice as the place that puts a mint on your pillow.
Do you have a price list that you can share with us?
I do not have a standard price list that I can share with you, because what I offer is custom from the way I photograph your wedding to the way we put together your photography coverage collection. Your wedding is exactly that, yours. So when we are able to get on the phone, and I can determine what it is you want: hours of coverage, second photographer, albums and wall art, and engagement and bridal sessions; from there we can create a custom package for you that speaks to you and what your wedding will be and how you and your family will want to celebrate it for years to come. Though I know how important budget is to many of my clients, so to give you a ballpark, most couples start at around $3900 and go up from there.
Can we have a second photographer on our wedding day?
Once we have a chance to talk, I will have a good idea of what will work best and can let you know then. I have a few second photographers I work with, and they are all professionals with their own full-time businesses that I would trust to photograph my wedding. So if you would like one, we can make that happen for you.
My mom and dad would really like to talk to you before we book, is that going to be a problem?
I believe the wedding day is not just about the bride and the groom. This is about your entire family, and everyone's input is important to me. I am happy to speak with anyone who may have some questions for me.
We had such an awesome wedding day and are so excited to see the photographs, when will they be done?
I know how anxious you are going to be when you get back from your honeymoon to sit down and relive your wedding day and I am just as excited for you to see it. When you return from your honeymoon, I will have your album design completed and we can get together to go over and get your order processing. From there I will finish up any retouching as is requested for the album photos. Typical turn time for everything is 3-4 weeks and then another 3-4 weeks for your album to be printed and delivered.
It's been a year since our wedding, do you offer anniversary sessions or family sessions?
My goal when I started my studio, was to make a difference in people's lives, to provide them with art that presses their emotional reset button and helps them to feel the day and the time that photo was made. I would love to capture your life as it continues to grow and change in so many beautiful ways whether that be celebrating another love filled year or welcoming a new family member (yes, furry kids count too) to your home.
