Frequently Asked Questions
What collections do you offer?
I offer three wedding collections which begin at $4500. I also offer an elopement package which is $2000.
How do we book you?
I require a $2000 non-refundable retainer plus a signed contract to lock me in for your date, and the balance plus tax (if applicable) is due 30 days from you wedding.
How much do you charge for travel?
I have a flat travel fee for US weddings and a flat fee for international weddings. This fee covers my travel, but I do require that my couples take care of my hotel stay while I am there. You can see more information on all pricing here.
Will you be shooting our wedding or do you work with associates?
It will always be myself, and possibly a second photographer if that's part of your collection. My second shooters are full-time professional photographers with great instincts and beautiful portfolios, and more importantly I would trust any one of them to shoot my own wedding.
Do we have to do a Bridal Session or Engagement Session?
No, not necessarily. In the collections which offer an engagement session you are welcome to trade that out for a bridal session or a post-wedding session. You have up to a year to use the session, so you don't need to make a decisions right away. Though I will say that bridal sessions and engagement session are a great time to get to know each other as well as make some beautiful artwork, which I definitely think is worth the time.
When can we see the final artwork? And when do we see the album?
If you have an engagement or bridal session it is usually 2-3 weeks, and for weddings it is 4-6 weeks. When you purchase an album, we will get together once I finish your gallery to go through your artwork and I will also put together an album sample for you which we will view together and you are free to make up to two (2) revisions, i.e. switch out any photos, remove spreads, or add spreads. Once you have approved the album it is 4 weeks before we have the finished product back in hand.
What if we want prints too?
Through your private online gallery, you, family and friends may purchase fine art unmatted or matted prints which range in size from 4x6 (unmatted) up to 24x36 (matted).
What happens if you get sick, break a leg or something even worse?
Well, I try not to think about that possibility all too much, but since I work with a second shooter, they will be able to cover for me and will be able to source a new second shooter. Or I could show up in a really spiffy hazmat suit or in a cast and we'll still make some amazing photos.
